The Painters Arms

Welcome To The Painters Arms

The Painters Arms is a Grade II listed public house at 79 Hightown Road, Luton, LU2 0BW. It is on the Campaign for Real Ale's National Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors. It was rebuilt in 1913.

Seán Ó Roideacháin's poem 'High Town Road' (or 'Baile Ard Luton' in Irish) is about Irish emigrants in The Painters Arms and The Freeholder on High Town Road during the late 1980s.

It is one of a select few that actually still has a snug. Open fires and a great history and do not forget the best pint of Guinness this side of the pond, make this a great place to meet up with friends old and new, have a laugh and just get away for a bit.

Followed up by our large screens that are always showing the latest sport including GAA games plus all the racing.
